The Free version of  Vehicle Barcode Scanner is based on the same technology as the Pro version — optimized for vehicle barcodes (VIN Barcodes), including windshield glare and indoor/outdoor light scenarios — but with limited features.

AUTOMATIC SCAN

Position your smartphone camera over the VIN barcode so the barcode fills most of the screen.

When the app has been able to resolve the image of the barcode, the app will scan the barcode and make a Record for that vehicle, including the Make and Year if possible.

There is no button to push to activate the VIN scanner. Make sure you are trying to scan a VIN barcode and not the alpha numeric vehicle identification. See list of supported barcodes.

COPY OR SHARE THE VIN

From the Success screen, you can Copy or Share the VIN you’ve just scanned.
